ASSESSMENT · OPTIONS · CARE
Veneers cover the front of selected teeth to change their shape, colour or proportions. Your natural teeth, bite and oral health guide what is suitable for you.

KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT
A veneer is a thin facing bonded to the front of a tooth. It changes how the front surface looks. It does not change the tooth underneath, its position or your bite.
VENEERS MAY HELP WITH
Uneven edges or teeth that look short or worn.
Minor chips on the front surface of selected teeth.
Small spaces or teeth that look out of proportion.
Discolouration that whitening may not change.
VENEERS WON’T FIX
Your dentist will explain which treatment suits the problem.
Crooked teeth or your bite
Veneers do not straighten teeth or correct your bite.

See how each material is placed, what preparation may be involved and how ongoing care differs.

CUSTOM-MADE CERAMIC
A thin ceramic facing is made separately to fit your tooth, then bonded in place.

SHAPED ON YOUR TOOTH
Tooth-coloured resin is applied directly, shaped and polished by your dentist.
BEFORE YOU DECIDE
01
Decay, gum disease and tooth grinding need assessment before cosmetic treatment.
02
Whitening, bonding or orthodontic treatment may better suit some concerns. Veneers do not straighten teeth or correct your bite.
03
Veneers need ongoing care. Enamel removal is irreversible, and repair or replacement may be needed over time.

BEFORE YOU COMMIT
We check your teeth, gums and bite, explain the alternatives and give you a clear quote before any preparation.
WHAT TO EXPECT
From the first conversation to follow-up, there is time to understand your options.
01
Discuss the changes you want and assess your teeth, gums and bite.
02
Review materials, alternatives, preparation and a personalised quote.
03
Your dentist checks shape, shade and bite throughout the agreed treatment.
04
Keep up cleaning and reviews; discuss protection if you grind your teeth.
PLAN WITH CONFIDENCE
The material, number of teeth and any care needed beforehand affect your quote. Ask about the full treatment plan and future maintenance, not just a per-tooth price.

A LITTLE MORE CLARITY
Veneers that involve enamel removal are not reversible. Ask exactly what preparation is proposed; “no-prep” treatment is only suitable in selected cases.
Whitening products do not change the colour of veneers. Discuss the shade of your natural teeth before choosing the veneer colour.
There is no guaranteed lifespan. Material, bite, grinding and home care all affect wear and replacement needs.
Yes. A consultation can help you compare veneers with other approaches without committing to a procedure.
START WITH YOUR CONCERN
Veneers are one of several ways to change a smile. Find your concern to see the treatments worth comparing.
01
Whitening only changes natural teeth. Veneers and existing restorations need colour matching.

Small chips may be repaired with bonding. Larger changes to shape may suit veneers.
Cosmetic bondingTreatment for a broken tooth03
Small gaps can sometimes be closed with bonding or veneers; larger ones may need tooth movement.
Cosmetic dentistry optionsInvisalign clear aligners04
Veneers do not straighten teeth or correct your bite. Aligners move the teeth themselves.

A tooth with little sound structure may need more coverage than a veneer provides.
